New Hampshire artist, Evelyn Winter's work is influenced by the spiritual and mystical qualities of nature. Animals, archetype motifs, landscape images and vibrant colors figure prominently in her work.
Winter's study of art began as a child and continued at Southern Conneticut State University where she earned a BS in Art Education. She taught art for several years before following a business career. In 1990 she traded her success in the corporate world to follow her hearts desire; to work as an artist, to create paintings of vision and spirit.
Winter works in mixed media, oil pastels, acrylic and oil paints. In her mixed media paintings, she uses a process where she applies layers of hot wax and paint to handwoven papers. Winter's use of color and texture in any medium makes her award winning work quickly recognizabele, highly collectible and very appealing.
Quality framing and materials are essential in order to achieve the highest aesthietic value and to preserve the beauty of each work. The archival materials that come into contact with the artwork are acid free. These considerations will let you share your passion for fine art with generations to come.
Winter says" What's important to me are the mysteries of the process, how the different materials work together and how the images emerge as the process unfolds".
Winter does not produce prints or reproductions of her work.
